The story has the depth of a book series - apart from the fact that it is based on the book Villa Triste by Patrick Modiano, who received a Nobel Prize for Literature - in addition to some other impressive prizes from, for example, the Académie Française. Perhaps a case of lost in translation, and it does make you curious about the book.
