Life is not a malfunction

Childhood nostalgia (I was 12 when that movie came out) and a movie for the younger audience. It does indeed have a lot to do with ET, which is of course much better, but Short Circuit remains a nice companion anyway. The actors were looking forward to it and are infectious (especially Sheedy), the humor wasn't bad and number 5 was definitely cuddly and unforgettable, especially when he dances with Sheedy. It's not complicated at all, but what's wrong with that in this case? A sweet film that is definitely worth seeing (again). One of the underrated movies of the 80's.

Nice movie, especially with nostalgia. I think it could be even more fun with a re-make, a little more speed, better actors.

Only in the 80's when we thought that all those computers would change our lives completely. Envious computers, women out of computers, game shows that start WW3 and military robots that suddenly came to life. I had missed this one in the 80s. We actually only saw robot Number Five in the top hit of El Debarge. This is a nice family movie.
