Very nice picture. Raw, desolate and almost gross. Images of lonely old age versus the almost sadistic, lethargic, empathyless youth and underworld, in an equally desolate and gloomy neighbourhood. No special plot or high-quality story in that sense, but, very solid.
Some say Gran Torino but better, I say Gran Torino but in this case without a little extra depth in the characters.

Great movie in this genre; the viewer becomes acquainted with the "old" marine Harry (Michael Caine) who has adapted to civil society because of his great love and therefore walks neatly through life within the common paths.
Until his love dies and then his dear friend is also killed by growing ruffians from the neighborhood, the "stops blow" and Harry launches his revenge feelings.
As a young man, Harry has spent his service as a marine in Ulster, among other places, and because of that he is still hardened in the base, uses that and deceives the leadership of the police force who only sees an old man in his person who is also suffering from emphysema . Such a person can never hurt another, can he?
A good story that is excellently portrayed by Michael Caine and David Bradley. The rest of the crew plays well too.
A fascinating film with a story that will keep the viewer(s) engaged until the end, which was also surprising.
