Quite an entertaining home invasion film with a surprising angle towards the end. You don't see that twist coming, but the effect of it was not very satisfying. Also in the field of the home invasion itself there are some negative points to report, such as a few very long-winded scenes ( girl in the attic who is discovered by one of the crooks and the parents who enter the house after their party [/ spoiler]). Somehow it doesn't get exciting. Bella Thorne is a trump card, but in this film she does not know how to give much substance to her role. 5/10

It's all well-intentioned, but it just doesn't quite make it. Predicate B-movie is not enough, nowadays you really have to go to Bruce Willis for that. The story is built up in such a way that you quickly get the idea that there must be something behind it. This only becomes clear through the flashbacks at the end. Well thought out.

Bella Thorne has not chosen the latest projects very well. Many Disney actresses always tend to take a more mature path later on and Thorne follows that path too, only wrongly. Choosing these kinds of easy roles in mediocre thriller films is not going to help your career. Maybe director Taylor had just cleverly convinced her, but I doubt it.
A lack of stylization is noticeable from the start. The film looks bare and unkempt, incomprehensible if you want to direct a thriller that lives on tension. Then as a director you will have to go a lot further than this, but Taylor quickly rushes through it all. Mediocre acting, a great lack of suspense and visually ugly. It seems as if the film is only blue in terms of filters, but Taylor never takes the rest to show us something of the house and make things threatening.
Thorne may be a well-known actress, but her acting here is mediocre. From the I-do-whatever level. I could still appreciate the outcome, but it is also a bit clumsy. Especially since the storylines are too similar. Very lame if you come up with a twist on that, but I get what they were going for. The film is never really interesting, but in the end it doesn't take long and you can close the film in no time. A typical TV thriller that only stands out for its leading role.
