Het Gouden Uur plot
'The golden hour', in police proceedings the term for the crucial hour immediately after the attack, revolves around the Afghan-Dutch detective Mardik. Mardik leads a quiet life with his wife and child, but due to his origins, he is also closely watched by overzealous AIVD agent Joëlle, who does not trust him at all. What doesn't help is that an old childhood friend of Mardik's from Afghanistan suddenly shows up in the Netherlands and turns out to be brooding on grim plans.
