“I'm innocent dammit!”

Reasonable political thriller with enough intrigue and strong acting to keep it interesting. Douglas and Sutherland are always good at these kinds of films, and Longoria is right here in a subdued role. The script looks a bit uninspired, and in that respect it really is a dime a dozen film.

Even the untrained cinematographer can quickly guess who the ultimate mole is. With some subplots (drama between Douglas and Sutherland, and Douglas and Basinger) that are poorly developed. The build-up also takes a while, and it is only when Douglas is accused of treason that The Sentinel finally picks up steam. With an action-packed final section. The logic and motives of the bad guys are missing, but it is certainly exciting and well filmed.

Geez, disappointment...

Now you think 'Yo ! In the end it still ends well' he leaves behind the '1st lady' with whom he has a relationship :-/

Why that? Is that out at once or something?

Blurred...

Decent film that needs a little getting going but picks up a nice pace in the second half. There is a decent cast, although it does not always come out well. The tension is reasonable and only gets to a decent level at the last action scene. Despite the improbabilities in the plot, the whole looked nice.
