Interesting film in which, among other things, the culture clash between Saudi Arabia and the US comes to the fore. It is a very complex subject with a long history, it is actually impossible to make a good film out of it. Peter Berg tries it, but it doesn't really come out nicely. The sour aftertaste at the end after the much-needed action nevertheless sums up the situation well. As a result, The Kingdom has not completely failed and it has not become an America-beating movie fortunately.

A bit like that restaurant where you had a very reasonable meal, but the service and preparation took far too long. A good film has to be captivating from start to finish and that clearly didn't work out here.
