Sad that this is so poorly rated, one of the most brilliant eighties horror films.

Insanely hilarious movie. From the busy opening scene to the perfectly constructed scene in the radio station. But above all: what a beautifully designed (long-lasting) final piece. Set decoration and costume design really of a very high level. With Savini there is little that can go wrong... delicious gore!

It is striking that a film like Evil Dead II can count on so much appreciation, while such a (black) comic side is not good at TCM.. Laughed my ass off when they came back with that hammer for that grandpa, what a characters!!

I'm glad Leatherface is the way he is, rude...nice but intimidating anyway. Scene with that mask Breaking down the station...fight on with a chainsaw sticking out of his back It's really hard to keep up, what a wonderful film. Played by fantastic actors...Moseley and Hopper But this time especially Jim Siedow as 'the Cook'.

über-cool and a very thick 4.5

A very painful movie to watch. It's neither exciting nor funny. Especially the 'humour' made it embarrassing to watch. All very adolescent. In addition, the ending is so incredibly slow and every joke is repeated a few more times that the film comes to a complete standstill: haha grandpa drops a hammer. And again. And again. And again. And again. And all the while just screaming. Also meanwhile: dancing idiots shouting puns and one-liners. You no longer expect that hammer to represent anything. Hopper actually only makes 1 good joke, then he just repeats that joke. Nobody shuts up even for a moment: there MUST be a one-liner or a crammed joke in everything. Very forced and ADHD all. All the more strange that suddenly the credits start without me realizing that I was looking at the ending, I think there were still people fighting and an explosion was about to happen. whatever, I was glad the movie was finished...

This one is just as bad as number 1. What bad actors, they are just amateurs instead of actors. And that screaming all the time that doesn't count for an iota. The nice thing here is perhaps the location. That one is spectacular. What a lair/cave. Also a bit of deepening in the background. So that's also a plus. You don't really have to do it for the kills. Dennis Hopper doesn't add too much either, but at least gives some resistance. Especially the beginning is better, afterwards it falls into the bad dialogues of part 1.
