Hostel: Part 2 is certainly not a bad film, absolutely not. However, it is very similar in scope to the first part and therefore not very innovative. Great movie but it leans a lot on the first part.

Doesn't add much to the first movie. Similar script, not very innovative. Not that we have to shout out explicit gore, but this one is a bit thinner than the first part. All in all, quite docile with his rotating camera. There was something about the ritual massacre, but we didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

To stay within the same genre, I think the Saw series is better developed than this one. They try to put a twist in it, even two. The one brother is clearly not the other, just like the chick is not always a defenseless bird. But it didn't catch on enough to really get me into the story.

Strangely enough, this sequel can keep up the level (even if it's not that high) of the first part. No 1 on 1 repetition of the first part but slightly more interesting victims and a little more tip of the veil of the bad guys. Eli Roth continues the trend, you now know what to expect. And all in all, this is not so bad for a 2nd part for a B-horror film.
