When they arrive at their destination, the boys soon meet attractive ladies from Slovakia. So the party can start. Slowly but surely the boys realize that there is more going on than they think.

Pretty boring movie.

The beginning was confused. Heap of bad acting people with impossible dialects playing the asshole in Europe. Would have been great fun, they would have all been pretty victims of the Hostel setup.

The second part is a bit more fun, until last guy has to escape again, resulting in a whole lot of unnecessary and boring shit. A little more gore and torture please. Think of a nice setup and hardly do anything with it.

I couldn't care less about this movie. Pretty boring, with a few bright spots in the middle. 1*

Worthless film, didn't understand it in the beginning and it's only about sex and women who are seen as objects. If I can give less than 1 star, I will for this movie

Broadly speaking, this is of course very cliché and a B-movie, but if you like the genre this is not so bad. Despite the gruesome mutilations, the film remains relatively well-behaved. But the cast is not that bad for these kinds of films. I can imagine there's an audience for it, and given the sequels there is. With a director like Eli Roth you also know in advance that you are not putting on Oscar material.

The American Eli Roth also shows how he sees Europe (and especially Eastern Europe). It seems like an information film not to travel there. For most cast members, Hostel is the most highly regarded film on their record...
