Hidden plot

"Fear will find you."

Ray, Claire and their seven-year-old daughter Zoe are a typical family in Kingsville, North Carolina. Except for the fact that they've been living in a bomb shelter since they escaped a day of devastation. Over the span of 301 days, they transformed their cement prison into a house. For just as long, the family has failed to notice what lurks above the surface—the heavy breathing and loud footsteps. The vulnerable existence of the family is threatened.

Nice. Nice film that gives a nice and original twist to the zombie genre. A family tries to survive in a bomb shelter in the post-apocalyptic days. Through a few short flashbacks, a glimpse is given every now and then of how it got to this point and what happened outside. Nicely claustrophobic with tension that gets under the skin.

Judging by some of the reactions, the film is not for everyone (the "nothing happens" syndrome?). Those expecting an action-packed horror with severed body parts etc. will be sorely disappointed. Those who don't expect that will be treated to a very fine film. 3.5*

Also watched this picture and it was not bad, but what a dark film. Literally, because towards the end we had to turn off all our lights to be able to follow anything on the screen.

It wasn't bad and not much actually happened, but partly because of the short playing time this wasn't so bad.

The cast wasn't bad, but wasn't really memorable either.

Worth seeing, but I don't think it's a real must-see.

What an incredibly great film, at least until they left the shelter. I was soooo on the edge of my seat. Incredibly exciting! Then the film collapses like a house of cards and it becomes a laughable zombie horror event. What a drama! Really to cry about! Difficult to judge but I still give 3* for the first hour.
