A bit of an unnecessary remake but not too bad. Remake is said a lot because it refers to the events from the first film, which this is a sequel to. And there are some new elements in it, like holding Clay's sister captive because she reminds Jason of his mother. The special effects are a bit more modern and the movie has a certain dark atmosphere. Only the jump scares with sudden loud noises are annoying. And the blue lens flares and fake boobies of one of the women show that we have now arrived in the 21st century. It seems that after this part, a sequel was being worked on, called Friday the 13th At Camp's End. Is that movie completely canceled?
