He needs Alice's help, which will require her to travel back in time. To help her friend, Alice turns to Time (Sacha Baron Cohen), a bizarre mix of human and clock gears, and embarks on a frenzied journey in time despite warnings.

After seeing the trailer, one of the first things that came to my mind was that this sequel was not necessary. Still, on the other hand, I was curious about it and decided to watch the film today during my vacation.

In my opinion this second part is less than the first part. The ''fairytale feeling'' is still lacking compared to the first part. Alice in Wonderland as a whole picture is better. Nevertheless, this film looked nice and the computer work just like the first part looked beautiful and the actors like Johnny Depp did their thing. Overall a good movie in this genre but I've seen better.

Brr, what a dragon compared to Burton's movie. The special effects still look great, but that's about it. Due to the high tempo, all the charm of the first part is completely lost. One minute Alice is in an asylum, the next she's flying through the air again and another minute later she's with the Mad Hatter. . All really bad. For most actors it seems to be redoing a song and not with much enthusiasm. Hathaway is soporific, Depp on autopilot and even Wasikowska didn't bother me. And so the world has another useless sequel richer.

Significantly less.

I thought Burton's first was still worth the effort, this sequel, however, came in the name of Bobin, a director who actually hadn't proven anything yet and with this film proves above all that he is a very mediocre director, who cares more about the people around him. must have him (and the franchises he works in).

Visually it is still worth the effort, although much less attention is paid to the visual. Burton can also make something wonderful look like this, in this film it is mainly a background for an excess of story twists. With its 113 minutes you would expect that there would be some time to reflect on certain things now and then, but apparently the story had to be expanded so that the atmosphere was affected.

I also didn't like the acting here, with a dragon of a Depp and a soulless Wasikowska. And so the film dredges from beginning to end. There are regularly some beautiful things to spot, but then you have to have an eye for backgrounds and not pay too much attention to the whining in the foreground. Bit of a shame sequel, but Disney is a milk factory. Hopefully this will end by then.

2.5*
