"Guilty of Maximum Fun in the First Degree!"
During a trial, a wrong lawyer sees Ernest P. Worrel on the jury. However, Ernest resembles his client, the criminal Mr. Nash and he arranges a switch. The shaggy Nash takes over Ernest's job at the bank, while Ernest receives the death penalty from Nash. However, the electric chair does not kill him, but gives him supernatural powers.

I've been vandalized... by Elvis!
Quite a funny movie, much better than 'Ernest Goes To Camp'. A few strong jokes and Varney plays his bad guy double role a lot better than the nasty Ernest. The last fifteen minutes is very stupid, but before that the story is quite pleasant. A kind of Face/Off so to speak...

A film in which it appears that Ernest can not only play comedic roles, but also excellently play a serious heavy boy. A lovely headline and again he shows lovely characters with entertaining dialogues. It just strikes me that the series so far does not seem dated at all, despite the use of outdated effects, for example. Great music by the way. Much better than I initially expected.

Presumably Ernest Saves Christmas wasn't too big a flop in America, because here he is back. Just like American Pie and Police Academy, there is an audience for this. The modern slapstick, albeit less subtle. But the man continues to get on his nerves and once again confirms the flop content of the series.
