La Zona plot

Alejandro is a teenager who lives in an isolated residential area with a strong private surveillance device. A typical example of the many closed residential areas for the wealthy, founded out of a feeling of insecurity from the outside world. One evening, however, three young criminals break in and rob a house. An old man is killed and two of the thieves are soon arrested. A third manages to escape and has to survive within the boundaries of the residential area. By chance, Alejandro ends up in the same room as the terrified fugitive, a boy his age. Meanwhile, the residents organize themselves in an attempt to find the criminal.

This one had been here for a while, so I had to take a look. I expected a bit more from it, not bad, but not always interesting, it just dragged on a bit.

Fortunately the cast did well and it looked good.

Disconcerting sketch of certain privileged and other ways of life. An absolute example of inequality in society, where corruption, as always, is very prevalent.

Found it fascinating, despite the somewhat difficult, confused start. Underrated.

Disconcerting how a neighborhood committee appropriates its own privileges by taking matters into its own hands. When some poor street youth enter the highly secured "zona" of some wealthy people, the latter panics greatly and they do everything they can to solve the problems themselves. The police are more of an opponent than a supporter and are kept out of everything, unless it suits them, of course... Facts are distorted or covered up. If only so as not to lose the privileges acquired. In many cases, a handful of cash is also included.

It's like living in an imaginary bubble around a false sense of security. The inequality with the rest of the inhabitants is immense. So a great setup for the film. Not always and not everywhere did I find it logical. Sometimes a little too easy.

The scene in the film is quite confrontational, regardless of whether you find it credible or not. But overall it is still a film worth thinking about. Intriguing!
