“Self-defense is not murder.”

Mediocre film that never comes to fruition due to the simplistic plot about a boring husband who can't keep his hand at home. The last part in particular makes no sense at all, and Lopez who becomes a trained fighter in a few scenes is implausible and rather laughable. Billy Campbell is totally a boring ass and doesn't radiate any threat at all. Too many negatives for a film with a strong message in itself.

Boring intention, I sometimes thought I was watching some kind of romantic movie with a bit of drama and a stray bit of thriller. Simple story and so is the effect. Jennifer Lopez, 50 Cent, all of them figures who should never have stepped on the movie stage.

Too bad, could have been more, especially with the message that the film brings.

0.5*

Why would you sneak away from your husband in the middle of the night, sneaky and cumbersome, while he's just at work during the day? So ignorant

Furthermore, I found Lopez to be rather measly acting with tearful puppy eyes and rabid wigs. The cliché "wearing masking sunglasses the next day" which makes it even more obvious that you have something to hide irritated me immensely. and the confident, don't fuck with me version she had to sell at the end was totally unbelievable

Nope, then I found sleeping with the enemie much more fascinating. It certainly had a much more believable and charismatic cast.
