Seen in a Chinese cinema. A reasonable family film to watch with your girlfriend/wife (and possibly kids). In the Chinese media, the film was described as a major tear jerker. This was not too bad, although the female audience shed a tear.
Every now and then a mirror is briefly held up to how we as humans sometimes treat animals. This was fun.
Nice film to go to the cinema with the family for a day, but after a week the average visitor will have forgotten the story. At least, with me.

Nice film with some negative and positive outliers.
The plot is simple and predictable and the whole exudes the atmosphere of a B-movie. Still, there were a number of heartwarming scenes that sucked you into the story. Some SFX were cringeworthy, others were powerful and mood-enhancing.
A mediocre A movie or an excellent B movie. Anyway: *3.0
