I thought it was a very nice movie. Finally a comedy that made me laugh a few times.

The cast was good in their roles and an original story is always nice. The ending is predictable of course, but you do get this when you watch this genre, so it wasn't disturbing.

Despite the long running time for a comedy (127min), the film was not boring.

A fun movie that I would like to see again. Recommended.

I'm a bit disappointed about the average, because I thought this was a great romcom that works out a great idea. As soon as Nick (Gibson), the macho man on duty, gets the gift of hearing women's thoughts after a stupid accident, the good dialogues and scenes pile up.

I therefore consider this film as a gift from a team of women (director, script) to the men's world and yes, this is definitely more of a men's film than a women's film from which many Martians can learn something about their Venusian congeners ... the The way they always set up a complex communicative defense system to protect their vulnerability. I found the scene between Nick and his daughter at the end to be a very heartwarming one.

But Darcy (Hunt) has also had a divorce and the lonely girl on the shop floor (Greer) is unhappy because of a rejection, nota bene by Nick himself. The latter. I thought it was a very appropriate addition, because Nick's behavior could also have tragic consequences. Lola (Tomei), a waitress at a coffeehouse, is someone he just wants to get into bed and then brush her off by saying he's gay to avoid getting depressed.

Yes, this is fine for me. Some may expect a real vulgar asshole, but I'm glad it's a film that could be serious at the right moments and also has something to say. The acting is of a high level, although I usually don't find Gibson that special in comedy roles.
