Better than expected. Unfortunately, the Peter Pan films are never strong. Here we go to the run-up to the well-known story. We get to see the usual suspects and the film is clearly aimed at a young audience. Not illogical, given the story. But the film is certainly not bad and can be interesting enough. The special effects derail a bit towards the end, but otherwise it's well done. And with Blackbeard instead of Captain Hook (who does play along, but isn't a bad guy yet) , this film isn't quite the same as the previous Peter Pan films.

Nice to see, better than Neverland and Hook, but I think I'm a bit too old for these kinds of films.

Lame.

Here and there it is slightly darker, but otherwise this is just another normal children's film. No idea why they brought Joe Wright off the stable for that. I often hear that directors would like to have done "this kind of" films once, this must have been such a case.

A film that doesn't do much good. From the often cheesy CG (those awful birds, lack of physics, the mass scenes) to the bad acting (Hedlund wtf) and the distasteful music (both the Disney rip-offs and the choral songs), this one just won't quite work. movie.

It's that the story is slightly different, so you still have a reason to look further. Not that it is much better, more fun or more original than the Disney variant, but it is at least something different. Furthermore, a very expensive mishap, except maybe a scene and a half halfway through, with the wood animations. That way they can make an entire movie.

1.5*

Screaming prequel to the classic tale of Peter Pan begins in “Lambeth Home for Boys” in the late 1920s, where Peter [Levi Miller] and his friends groan under the terror of Mother Superior Barnabas [Kathy Burke], until a number of boys become kidnapped by Blackbeard [Hugh Jackman]. From that moment on it is a repository of technically beautiful, but dramatically disruptive special effects and the actors drown in the visual violence. Rooney Mara hobbles around as Tiger Lily in this dazzling, but above all, sleep-inducing and soulless adventure.
