It doesn't stop with good new series this year. After Mindhunter and The Sinner, all of which I saw after the summer, this is another series that I can't wait for the next season. This is mainly due to the wonderful cinematography of this series. Everything is beautifully portrayed, especially the color contrasts stand out. In addition, Moss's acting is unprecedented in this series.

The story is reminiscent of many other Young Adult stories of recent years, such as The Hunger Games and Maze Runner. However, this story feels much more mature and realistic. I read somewhere that everything we see or read in this series in the book has happened somewhere in the world or is even still going on. That makes the series extra creepy.

Interesting that the first season ends at the end of the book and there are more to come. At least they've explored the world in the series well enough to continue with it. For example, I would like to know more about the origin of this dystopia and the backgrounds of some less great characters.

The Handmaids Tale season 1 is a story that will not let the viewer go anytime soon. It's about people who won't bow to the system, with Moss in a fantastic role of a survivor. Moss shows the vulnerability, but also the determination of her character through a subdued play.

A series that was still on my 'to watch list', there has been such a large range in terms of series lately. My first impression is very positive, again a wonderfully dark drama, with an Elisabeth Moss who plays very strong, also a nice dystopian atmosphere, certainly not a light-hearted series, but simply of a high quality level.
