Captain Planet and the Planeteers plot
Five Planeteers named Kwame, Linka, Wheeler, Gi and Ma-Ti fight against all forms of environmental pollution by using five special rings given to them by the Earth Goddess Gaia. Each ring has a special power: earth, wind, fire, water and heart, or love. When the Planeteers confront their polluting opponents, such as Hoggish Greedly, Dr. Still unable to defeat Blight and Captain Pollution, they combine their special powers to summon the superhero Captain Planet. When the job is done, Captain Planet retreats into the Earth with the words "The power is yours!".
