Mission: Impossible is about an elite group of secret agents known as the Impossible Missions Force (IMF). The team is led by Dan Briggs and Jim Phelps. Their missions include taking out dictators and criminal organizations, freeing a captive foreign diplomat in a fictitious communist country, or intercepting classified documents.
