I also thought the last part with those Indians was the least of the film, also because no real Indians were used (which was generally not the case at that time, of course).

Charles Bronson plays his role wonderfully laconic and Alain Delon as the villain looks good in his black suit. The interaction between Bronson and Mifune is also funny! There are some really nice dialogues in the film:

"Suppose he doesn't make it in seven days?" “He will kill himself” “Well, that's something I'd like to see, he might as well do it now because I'm not taking him!” "Then he will cut your head off!" "That's something I wouldn't like to see!"

"Those damn mosquitoes keep me awake!" "Wrong, one mosquito... (swoosh!) ...No mosquito!"

"Do you always shoot your bed partner in the morning?" "It depends how good she was!"

Anyway, I did enjoy this western. The landscapes are beautiful and every good western has horses and a steam train. And we also get to see Ursula Andress's breasts. We are therefore at our beck and call in Red Sun.

Yes, this is very nice! Quite strange to see Mifune as a Samurai in the Wild West; everyone was as unworldly as the plague at that time, of course: You suddenly see such a figure with his strange haircut and thick robe standing at the train station. Delicious. Bronson and Mifune complement each other well in an entertaining adventure. I thought it all worked well. Add to that the beautiful landscapes, atmospheric pictures (saloons) and every now and then a (semi) naked woman (Andress) + of course bad guy Delon and you have had a nice ride after about two hours.

With Ursula Undress, my uncle used to say who I saw that film with. Needs no further explanation. Good western / adventure film, an early buddy movie actually, in which a robber and a samurai form a team: the robber wants back the money that his false companion stole (played by an icy Delon), the samurai wants his stolen sword back. This provides some humor in a wonderful first hour when the robber wants to force the samurai to make a promise. But the scene that stuck with me was the one where the Comanches put a chokehold around Christina's neck. The special combination of Bronson and Mifune in particular makes this film worth watching.
