Venom plot
Howard Anderson takes care of their home and his grandson Philip during the absence of his daughter and son-in-law. What he doesn't know is that the maid Louise and the driver Dave, in conjunction with the criminal Jacmel, are plotting the kidnapping of Philip. However, danger lurks from a completely different angle. Philip expands his pet collection with an African house snake, but accidentally gets a chest containing a black mamba.

Using a real snake and training it already earns points.
The actors also do a very good job.
The story around it isn't bad either.

Fantastic work to train and educate a real black mamba like this. The pov scenes from the snake's point of view work powerfully and provide the necessary tension. But the cast also provides added value. Klaus Kinski, Oliver Reed and Susan George are wonderfully on a roll in this pulp film. 7/10

Venom wasn't that exciting, but putting a real mamba in the film and not choosing the easiest path... that's the spirit 
With Klaus Kinski in a film you can always expect something that jumps out of the ordinary, but Oliver Reed, who often played in Hammer horrors, is also worth mentioning.
The entire film is a hostage situation with a trio of criminals holding down a child and his grandfather, although it's never really clear why or I must have missed it.
Furthermore, far too little mamba to really be a memorable thriller; doesn't work that well because that mamba only takes on the bad guys
