What a hell of a movie.
The Unsaid is a very intense film that gives me a lump in my throat every time. In terms of intensity somewhat comparable to Crash imo

The plot is quite simple with some not very surprising twists, but the acting of Andy Garcia in particular makes sure that you are drawn into this film. Vincent Kartheiser is very convincing as a traumatized/violent teenager.

1 point that could have made this movie better: When Tommy pushes Shelly in front of the train and then you find out it's just a dream. I think it would have been better if Tommy had actually done this. That makes the film just that little bit more dramatic and intense.

The soundtrack of The Unsaid is particularly good and fits the film very well.

There may be a lot of clichés in this movie, but the whole and the feeling that I get with this movie (even after watching it 4 times) ensures that it gets the full 5 stars from me.

Drapey script, completely unbelievably worked out with more than one 'exciting' plot twist - to me it comes across as a very laborious, convulsive attempt to keep it a bit interesting. Plays shamelessly on loan from a few much better films, of which I especially think Good Will Hunting is really badly copied. In terms of psychology and psychiatry, it certainly doesn't make sense.

Garcia acts like a plank - I really don't understand how anyone could be impressed by that.

All in all a third-rate b-movie, the only plus point in my opinion is the presence of Teri Polo - but she doesn't have that many scenes.

Unconvincing thriller/drama in which a psychiatrist's new patient reminds him of his son who committed suicide. The film is quite long winded and didn't grab my attention. The acting was also a bit disappointing, especially Vincent Kartheiser as the new patient was totally unconvincing. The so-called twist certainly didn't make the story any better.
