At the time, I had just gotten my driver's license and was looking for a motorcycle as cool as the one C. Thomas Howell rides around on in this film. And perhaps a friend like Liz Hurley, but preferably without her exaggerated princess behavior and chemical habits. Both never worked out, I'll leave it at that.

As a film I certainly liked it at the time, and although some of it has disappeared with the more critical view of today, there is still a lot of beauty left. Joss Ackland's (as always) brilliant bad guy - and that was actually why I looked up this film again, on the occasion of his departure from the sublunary. Still one of the nicer actors, and always nice to see him play his roles.

And well, that Hurley kit that Kos devoted the first post to a long time ago, there were better films for it back then. I'll just mention Der Skipper aka Kill Cruise (1990).
