Disquiet plot
After a terrible accident, Sam wakes up in a remote and mysterious hospital. Instead of being helped here, it seems that there are dark forces in the hospital, doing everything they can to ensure that he can never leave. However, Sam finds that he is not the only prisoner. While trying to figure out what exactly this hospital is, he meets other people who also want to escape this nightmare.

Ambitious, but messily constructed film in which director Michael Winnick simply does not merge all ideas into a good whole. In principle, these types of horror films, in which characters find themselves in a supernatural and mysterious world and have to try to escape, are becoming more and more common. Disquiet tries to do that with as little budget as possible, but nevertheless Winnick throws himself into all kinds of bombast that hardly comes across as stimulating. The various threats are also used several times, but if they do not inspire much fear, you still miss the mark. Jonathan Rhys Meyers does his best in the leading role, but is regularly guilty of overacting. Lochlyn Munro and Garry Chalk do it a bit more nuanced in that respect, despite their rather limited presence. Disquiet also has a number of strong moments towards the end and remains unpredictable enough for the entire duration, but will ultimately not be much more than quick filler for the film fanatics.
