Great movie, to the very end.

Unbelievable, what a disappointment!

Dan Brown has written a beautiful book, why do you need to know better as a director? I do not understand that.

The original ending probably wasn't cliche enough for the Hollywood audience.

This third book adaptation by Dan Brown is by far the least. The Da Vinci Code was still okay, Angels and Demons was just a good movie, but this is not at all as far as I'm concerned.

It is that it all looks beautiful and the actors are also in good shape, but otherwise the poverty is trump.

I understand that I shouldn't judge this film on credibility or anything like that, but if Robert Langdon solves an impossible riddle faster than I do a two-piece puzzle, then something goes wrong.

I haven't read the book, but I can't imagine this being a true film adaptation. Rarely seen such an implausible and rushed plot.

As mentioned, the cast cannot be faulted. Tom Hanks is just a good actor, but with a role like this you can't do much.

The locations are also really beautiful so I don't have to completely ruin this film with my rating.

Not recommended, two stars.

This third book by Dan Brown was the least appealing to me. I also found the book a lot less interesting than his other books, even the ones that were not made into a movie. It is by no means easy to film a richly illustrated and informative book. You miss the necessary nuances so that you miss things in the film such as structure and depth.

Biggest positive points are the beautiful architectural buildings in Florence and Istanbul. The tips are also quite nice. And the premise of overpopulation is also an extremely fascinating theory that you can talk about for hours. The plot isn't really great, but you can hardly blame Howard for that, but he has brought it incoherently. I'd rather see Hanks flourish in better toppers, but Jones was a fresh appearance.

Interesting reading overall, but less successful as a film adaptation. A moderate 2.5* is therefore his share.
