Separate special movie. especially interesting if you are a fan of The Beatles. (I do) The film is full of references to songs from the group. 'She came in through the bathroom window" And the names Jude, Max, Sadie, Prudence, Lucy and Dr Robert too.

It is a pity that the songs were played a bit too poppy and at other moments too slow or too loud. I wasn't very impressed with the uber psychedelic part either. Furthermore, entertaining, beautiful and floral. 4*

Protest film that uses songs, mostly by the Beatles, and clips to denounce the Vietnam War. The music is well integrated into the story and some Beatle songs, such as "Strawberrie Fields" and "Nothing's gonna change my world" are inserted very appropriately. Too bad the voices are so inconclusive.

And, as usual, protests don't change anything, not least because they don't bring an alternative solution. Not even by love. That is exactly where this film drowns, which is more trivial than interesting.

Very disappointing.

The movie: it seemed like the songs were leading, that as many songs as possible had to be crammed into the movie and that the story was based on the order of the songs. In other words, not the story was leading with the songs as support, but the story was fantasized with the songs and that led to a weak, boring, slow, uninspired and often illogical film.

Then the music: I'm a big fan of the songs of The Beatles, but found the elaborations in this film far below par; weak, powerless and uninspired. Low point for me was "Revolution" which sounded like it had been recorded on a Monday morning after a night of deep sagging and lacked any grit. Why revolution? Sleep on!

Now I don't like musicals anyway, but this was one that I watched with great difficulty, always hoping for a positive turnaround that never came.
