"Once you believe, you die."
When strange happenings take place at the home of young couple Kelly and Ben, they learn that they are being terrorized by a presence who was accidentally killed in a parapsychology experiment at the university. A horror film that is anything but memorable actually. This is mainly a very tame variation on haunted house horror movies. One that really doesn't add anything in the genre at all. It's a shame, because haunted house horror movies always do well for me.
However, this film actually has nothing to offer at all. It starts out nice, and doesn't really get boring anywhere, but the film never really knows how to handle it. The haunted house is not exciting, the location is not atmospheric and the film is not scary.
Visually also few interesting things. The camera work is a bit boring, the location is too normal and in terms of atmosphere there is really nothing to do. Then you have a number of reasonably acting people together but in a film that does not really cooperate.
Only a few moments were still nice. Especially the video images of the "opening" and the last scenes with a gray supermarket, where Greene is grabbed. But otherwise this is a rather normal film that does not bring anything new and nowhere scary or atmospheric is becoming. Not even a little.
