dr. Cara Harding is a single mother and a dedicated psychiatrist. Throughout her career, she maintains that MPS (Multiple Personality Syndrome) doesn't exist, until she comes across Adam, a criminal patient whose many shocking character changes are inexplicable. An enjoyable thriller/horror film with a great cast.
Julianne Moore plays the role of Cara Harding. A remarkable detail is that in The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) she also played a doctor under the name Sarah Harding. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is strong in his roles, and keeps the tension well in the film. A small disadvantage is that certain moments became predictable. Especially towards the end, but despite everything it remains entertaining. The alternate title "Shelter" seems more appropriate, and is also available on DVD under this title.
Fans of The Ring (2002) will undoubtedly appreciate the film. Especially since it was made by the same producers. However, he will not be able to match this level.

Set up at random and it turned out to be a little uplifting horror film. It starts out quite mysterious, but the film ends up being quite far-fetched and even has fantasy elements. The film does not want to be scary or exciting, but the atmosphere is okay at times. The content is not very convincing either, although it remains entertaining enough to sit out. In terms of acting, it's just not enough, although that is mainly related to the script. Julianne Moore's character, for example, remained too meaningless to me, while Jonathan Rhys Meyers portrays his characters somewhat erratically. All in all, this is a great snack, but it is also a typical film that you quickly forget afterwards.

6 souls/Shelter has become a mixed bag that still feels like a 00s product with a nice starting point, which is gradually built up. Not too much is revealed and little by little the plot unravels, surrounded by a pleasant mysterious atmosphere.
Gradually during the last 30 minutes the film loses this nice atmosphere and it is apparently difficult to end it in a nice and satisfying way. The supernatural aspect in this case just feels a bit too easygoing and is above all not very well thought out.
