Very nice. Got a bit of the same feeling here as with Leprechaun Returns (2018), where Kostanski showed how little is actually needed to make a nice addition to to make such an (old, long-running) series. Not being too serious and a good dose of exaggerated gore are the most important ingredients. The Swedish duo Laguna and Wiklund (whom I mainly know from Madness (2010) 3* and We Are Monsters (2015) 3* ) are in that case a great pair to give Zahler's script the desired treatment. Very tongue in cheek writing and the script puts a lot of emphasis on a lot of bloody doll mayhem. Contains a number of (un)palatable highlights that make good use of the wide arsenal of weapons that the various dolls possess. Littlest Reich does everything as desired... you could almost call that refreshing these days.

Strange but true...I think I saw one once, but I can't remember anything about it.

This Puppet Master is apparently already the thirteenth part The film offers an entertainingly bloody nonsense story with a few delicious over the top kills. e.g. the man going to pee, the pregnant woman... That last one was actually completely over it.

There is plenty to experience in terms of gore and the film does not shy away from nudity. Kennedy Summers and especially Jenny Pellicer as the girlfriend of protagonist Thomas Lennon are impressive. There are also some old acquaintances in the film, such as Michael Paré, Barbara Crampton and Udo Kier. The film offers enough entertainment and you will certainly not be bored. Of course, for a good story you shouldn't watch films like Puppet Master. A six

An amateurish production with mediocre acting, but the director duo of Sonny Laguna and Tommy Wiklund deliver professional work when it comes to horror. After an introduction of about 40 minutes, the stops open and the film turns into a series of particularly bloody scenes. The kills are nice and uninhibited and over the top, with a special graphic design to visually reinforce this. The story is also less complicated compared to the previous parts, clearing the field for pure entertainment. The content is a bit messy and the cinematography could have been a bit better, but basically the film does what it needs to do very well. With a playing time of only 90 minutes, it is never too long.
