Cool 80's stuff! Recently, after years, I watched it again and was pleasantly surprised because in my memory the film was a lot worse than the first part. (which I would also like to revisit if I get the chance). In any case, I have little to say about it and enjoyed it from the first to the last second. The three stories are simple but effective and performed with the necessary humor. Neatly strung together with animations in that typical Creepshow comic style.

A small improvement.

Although part 1 may be a bit more special in execution, the better stories are really in this film. The first part may have my favorite story, but this part has 3 stories that never really get boring, and even has an outlier that comes in the form of 'The Raft'.

What is striking about this film is that it now has some parts between the stories, and also fewer stories. This brings the playing time to a normal amount of minutes, namely 90. I don't think these types of nonsense films need to be longer. Returning to the parts between the stories: they are filled in with animation. Very childish animation too, and I thought that was funny.

The first story is the longest story and clearly the least story within this part. It all goes on for a little too long without really becoming very interesting. Ultimately, the pace is quite good, but the murders are kept off-screen and both the acting and the characters are not exactly great. It's all a bit too thick on top.

I loved the second story, as I mentioned in my introduction. Very simplistic in design, but the use of gore is strikingly loud and the atmosphere is certainly impressive. The fact that Creepshow does not go completely over the top in terms of fantasy elements this time makes this piece a bit more ominous and raw, and that certainly benefits it.

The third and final story is also nice, but builds up a bit too slowly. Where it ultimately goes is fun, and the brutality is certainly there, but after a wonderful second part I still thought this was a mediocre finale. That does not alter the fact that Creepshow 2 as a whole is a bit rawer and harder compared to the first part, which I found a lot more tiring. That makes me more of a fan of this part, but this one isn't great either.

I think I once saw it as a child. The first two stories in particular seemed familiar to me. Not the third. I think the story structure is quite OK with that comic form. Excellent introduction and transition to the other stories. Of course, it can be viewed from the zeitgeist of the 80s. Today it seems quite simple or languid and it is not scary at all, but I thought it was ideal to get into the atmosphere. An ideal production also to get acquainted with horror. I'm not going to say that this is for children, but I remember as a child that this kind of horror often left me wanting more and even now.

The three stories were also not at all scary. The raft was the best anyway. Also perhaps the most mysterious or scary part. A bit of eroticism, but mainly a bit of gore when the mud monster chases the four young people. The third part isn't bad either, but I found it more funny than scary. But well done. The story with the Indian starts very slowly and hardly gets off the ground as a horror. Why didn't he intervene sooner?
