Zert plot
Ludvik Jahn is a broken man. As a promising student, he once made the apparently harmless but unforgivable mistake of sending his then girlfriend a card with the exclamation: 'Long live Trotsky'. This earned him a suspension from university and years in a labor camp. Among other things, he accuses his friend, who is also the chairman of the committee that ruled in his case, for being responsible for his tragic fate. When he meets his wife after years, he only wants one thing: revenge. However, it turns out to be a lot less sweet than expected.
