I Origins plot

Molecular biologist Ian Gray is obsessed with the human eye. His fascination leads to a great personal tragedy, but also sets him on the track of a revolutionary scientific insight. Ian, who has never hidden his skepticism about the metaphysical, will gradually learn that science and wonder need not be mutually exclusive in principle. His quest for the truth eventually takes him to India, where a heartbreaking climax awaits him.

Beautiful movie. The science and technology are well exposed, and the romantic aspect also comes into its own. One of the best bits I thought was the conversation between Ian Gray and the woman in India about science and religion, where the woman asked something like this: "Would you also abandon your science if you could provide evidence for something religious? experienced". I thought that was such an eye opener. The final scene where Salomina didn't dare to go into the elevator was of course very nicely worked out. Ian Gray was completely convinced from this point on. How the latter is all explained without words is enough reason for me as far as 5/5

A little too much science and a little too little mystery in this romantic drama about two scientists who investigate whether each person indeed has a unique iris. Remotely played and written, the premise is interesting and Cahill raises interesting questions about the eternal question of life after death. Kashish is perfect as the girl who may hold the key to the answer to this question.
