Charles Mort ou Vif plot
Charles is a middle-aged businessman who runs an inherited business. On the anniversary of the firm's founding, he finds himself struggling with depression and looking for ways to do something about the quality of life of the workers. After giving his impressions to a TV reporter, Charles leaves his home and business behind. His conservative son hates his father's behavior when he pushes his car off a cliff with an anarchist couple as a sign of materialistic rejection. The man even encourages Charles to make love to his wife, but Charles does not agree. However, Charles's daughter is delighted with her father's extreme left-wing attitude.
