This Is Elvis plot
"This is the sound he created and performed. The rare personal films never before seen by the public. The private moments. The public triumphs. Intimate memories and reflections in his own words."
Elvis Presley was born in 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, the son of landlord Vernon Presley and Gladys. His twin brother died giving birth. The young Elvis, son of faithful churchgoers, was exposed to various musical influences that he would later bring into his own mix. Sam Phillips, who recorded Elvis' first song, had always said he'd make millions with a black-voiced white singer. Presley was such a person, but not Phillips, but "Colonel" Tom Parker, Elvis' manager and mentor, would guide the young man on the road to world fame. The 'Presleymania' engulfed the world. Presley sold 500 million records, performed exclusively to sold-out houses, appeared in 33 films and was the biggest attraction of Las Vegas for years. He died on August 16, 1977 at his Graceland estate.
