Raw Deal plot
"Bullets! Women! -- Can't Hold a Man Like That!"
Emmett Joseph 'Joe' Sullivan is eager to escape prison. He sits before Rick Coyle, who owes him $50,000. Sneaky Rick devises a plan to let Joe escape, expecting to be shot and killed on his run, which suits him. However, with the help of his girlfriend Pat Cameron and his sympathetic legal adviser Ann Martin, Joe's escape attempt succeeds. But Joe now has two very important questions. Is he indeed a cold and heartless criminal or is he a 'rough shell/white pit'? And who should he choose: the feisty Pat or the moralistic Ann?
