Still quite okay.

But I had to struggle through the first half hour before it finally gets some more power. Franco can act, but in Rogen films he is just unbearable. Wasn't funny for a moment and sometimes to the point of embarrassment.

But Rogen isn't great either. He is a bit funnier than Franco, but he never really made me laugh. The only one who does (very) well again is Park as the feared leader. He really puts down a nice character and saves almost the entire movie.

The rest is still pretty smooth. You wouldn't think so, but those 112 minutes still felt quite short. This is mainly thanks to Park, who makes the film a lot more interesting and smoother and saves the film from the typical Franco & Rogen duo. Those 2 also repeat their types a bit too often.

Visually quite beautiful at times. Here and there some ugly shot action but still a pretty spectacular finale. The rocket in the helicopter was really great. Only at times the action before that was still ugly, but fortunately in a beautiful environment.

An entertaining film that wants to surprise you here and there, and that's why it still gets a pass.

“Oh no! We really fucked up, guys! He's arming his fucking nukes!”

A good action-comedy film that could have been better. The joke density is high, but unfortunately there are just as many misses as home runs. It all starts very nicely with Eminem being interviewed by James Franco. The visit of the FBI agents to Rogen and Franco also causes hilarity and the film seems to be on the right track.

As soon as Rogen and Franco land in North Korea it becomes a bit less and there is a lot less to laugh about. Kim Jong-un's obsession with Katy Perry is still funny and anyway Franco and Randall Park are very strong in their scenes together. Seth Rogen, on the other hand, is less on track and is stuck in a painfully unfunny romantic subplot. The ending with the interview between Dave and Kim Jong-un is a highlight, but unfortunately the action/comedy scenes at the same time as Rogen are poorly developed.

Normally not exactly my genre, but persuaded after seeing the trailer to give it a try and it soon becomes clear that this isn't going to be very good.

Nice and fun, in terms of self-mockery, the interviews are still with Eminem and Rob Lowe, after that it drops to a depressing poo and piss-like level. For a moment the story and quality bounces a bit with a twist and things like Soon and the friendship between Skylar and Un which, although predictable, can be called funny.

Rogan and Franco can be seen that they had a lot of fun, and Park is fine as the dictator, Lizzy Chaplin also very nice to watch, but otherwise the story and humor is at a few moments too bland for words, predictable and is the movie is way too thin.
