Very nice, beautifully designed fairy tale with a smoothly told story and funny characters. Visually pleasing, also due to the beautiful production design and the vibrant use of colour. The role of Thompson is irresistible and the film always manages to hit just the right tone.

Nice kids movie. A fun and entertaining comedy, where a few things have been copied from Mary Poppins, with a lot of successful humor and a nice light-hearted atmosphere. It's not really original at all, familiar clichés are regularly used.

Very successful for children, and also doable for watching adults.

The love, magic and the incredibly happy ending make this children's film a real fairy tale. All characters are nicely exaggerated and so is the richly colored decor. It guarantees equally exaggerated scenes, which regularly make the little ones laugh. It is a film for young and old and Emma Thompson as Nanny McPhee; hats off!
