Death to Smoochy plot
"Get ready for an unexpected hit."
The film tells the story of Rainbow Randolph (Williams), the corrupt star of a popular children's TV show. He is fired over a bribery scandal, and is replaced by the friendly fluffy purple rhinoceros Smoochy (Norton). As Smoochy grows in popularity, he is repeatedly the target of Randolph's revenge attempts, who want his status as the country's darling back.

During the opening credits I already had an idea of ouch, the film will be something special. It seems like a childish movie, but the story is not at all.
The genre on the box was black comedy, but don't think you're going to be stuck all the time now. I did think Robin Williams was so over it at times that he was rather irritating instead of funny.
I'll have to watch it again to really give an opinion on it, but for now it's in the positive sense.

Such a typical snack. Nice and black with children's shows as a guideline, with at least a few successful (bland) jokes. It's just kind of hilarious to see Norton constantly with such a happy face and Williams playing an over-the-top character. Overall, of course, the crime story is wafer-thin and the obligatory romance cringe-inducing; all in all not so good, but enough entertainment if you go into it lightly.
