Weak rom-com!

The acting of the lead actors is especially bad. Both Keaton and Moore are very exaggerated. In terms of story, they do take enough time to show the relationship between mother and daughters. The relations between Milly and the two gentlemen are then rushed again. There was absolutely no chemistry between Milly and Jason on the one hand and Johnny on the other. Of course it is clear how it will end. No, not good.

1,5*

This Comedy/Romance film starring Diane Keaton (was honored by colleagues at a private film gala in 2007 for her impressive oeuvre) is nothing more than an embarrassing display.

Daphne Wilder (Diane Keaton) has three grown daughters, two of whom are under the roof. The youngest still hasn't found the cutest guy. Milly Wilder (Mandy Moore) is a relationship disaster and her mother places a personal ad. without Milly knowing.

Of course those are (except for one) suckers, because thinking is not necessary. Even without a brain, this misfire of a movie makes you annoyed green and yellow. It's all so exaggerated that it's not funny, but rather annoying and even embarrassing.

“Gotta love a woman in polka dots. Not everyone can pull it off.”

Reasonable movie. Diane Keaton is once again hyperactive and sometimes bloody irritating, but luckily Because I Said So also has Mandy Moore. I've always thought Moore was a strong actress, but she didn't always pick the right scripts (an understatement). Because I Said So isn't a great movie either, but Moore, Macht, Graham and Keaton are doing their best.
