I may have outgrown it by now, but this was a very witty film at the time. It brought the world of basketball and the Looney Toons closer together in a fairly believable way.

Gosh yes.

No nostalgia for me here. I had actually never heard of the movie. That aside, I feared the worst after half an hour. But then, out of nowhere, a bit of zest and enthusiasm comes in. The over-the-top content saves the film.

Michael Jordan excels in a somewhat stupid role in which he clearly holds his dialogues against air in a studio full of green screens. In the final product, the green screens have been transformed into Looney Tunes in a mediocre CGI version. Anyway, the movie is pretty ugly to watch.

Still manageable nonetheless. Such a Bill Murray who plays a small role by the hair pulled, can't hurt. The lame Dan Aykroyd joke still makes you laugh, but also makes it clear that making a masterpiece has never been there.

Small 2.5

Mme.

Space Jam is a movie that I had seen a long time ago, but I can't remember much about it. I know a famous basketball player was in it, Michael Jordan of course, and I completely forgot about the movie. That's why I didn't want to vote for it yet, but recently I finally reviewed the film.

What this movie saves for me in large part is the slapstick, which I've always liked very much within the Looney Tunes world. Pretty idiotic and random, I like it. Not everyone is a fan of it, but as a child I always enjoyed it and it's nice to see that I can't really enjoy it less as I get older.

In terms of content, the film can be called quite bad and even halfway through the film they already start with the basketball game, which indicates that they themselves thought it was all just weak. The story is therefore as normal as can be, and the film has few surprises. It is mainly the sometimes colorful and energetic interpretation that makes him feel good.

Jordan really can't act, despite the fact that he still has some charm. The voice actors can be called nice, but they seem to be in fairly familiar waters. Soucie was by far the best of the bunch, too bad she was replaced in the second part. Speaks the nicest voice in my opinion.

Space Jam is an entertaining but fairly empty film. The effects are of course bad, but with these kinds of films I still want to turn a blind eye sometimes. The jokes are quite nice, but there's no getting around the fact that the story just lacks some effort. So I can't give it a pass, but I'm glad I saw it once.
