"They're on a mission to bring every gnome home."
Garden gnomes one day mysteriously disappear from English gardens. Gnomeo therefore immediately enlists Sherlock Gnomes, the best 'accessory detective' in the country, to solve the disappearance of the garden ornaments. Unfortunately, this Sherlock turns out to be less good than its human namesake.

A very nice animated film for in between, but nothing more than that.
I can't describe it better.
The story is not that great and you can see the ending coming from miles away.
Just barely scores a passing grade for me.

Sequel to the amusing Gnomeo & Juliet without charm and almost without story. Sherlock Gnomes [Johnny Depp] investigates a series of vandalisms in which garden gnomes are smashed. Gnomeo [James McAvoy] and Juliet [Emily Blunt] get involved in the investigation that results in a large amount of (only occasionally successful) jokes in search of a story. Again frequently framed with the music of Elton John, which underlines the lack of new ideas. A mess, despite the contribution of British greats such as Maggie Smith and Michael Caine.

Moderate.
Colorful, but also busy affair. The moral lesson is clear and a red line throughout the film, but otherwise it is still a lot of chaotic helter-skelter and running from pillar to post. I could not discover much fun, although the film does not sink below the lower limit. The computer-animated animation does not appeal to me that much - the thoughts of Gnomes in black and white do. Fun for children, for adults a bit less, I think.
