"Adventures this big don't grow on trees."
James' quiet life on the English coast comes to an abrupt end when his parents are killed by a rhinoceros and he moves in with his two terrible aunts. When he saves the life of a spider, he obtains some magical boiled crocodile tongues, after which a giant peach begins to grow in the garden. In the peach he finds not only the spider, but also a number of new friends. They help him with his plan to travel to New York.

Jack & James.
For a slightly darker Disney look, this animated version of Roald Dahl's famous book can be avoided. Now things get a little rougher in the paper story (the two mean aunts are simply killed by the peach). But Tim Burton's partner in crime Henry Selick turns out to be the right choice for this children's film, which is also well received by adults. If you pay attention you can even see Jack from 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' passing by.

Wonderful video. I read a lot of negativity about this movie. I don't get it... But yeah. They are the opinions of individuals.
Animation of this movie is nicely done. Story is nicely done. Exciting, funny, adventurous! The story is nicely told. And nice music!
Enjoyed it. More importantly, my 5 year old son was watching intently, and liked him too!

It's been a while since I've seen this one, so time to watch it again. Still a beautifully made stop-motion animation film that is reminiscent of The Nightmare Before Christmas in style, especially because Jack also has a small role here.
The story was original and not boring.
Still nice to see it again.
