The Long Ships plot

"The Viking adventurers who challenged the seas... and conquered the world!"

When the Norman castaway Rolfe speaks in a market about the legendary pure gold bell, called the 'Mother of All Voices', the Moorish king Aly Mansuh takes him captive. Rolfe tells him that the clock is just a myth and knows how to escape before they torture him. When Rolfe returns to his own people, he informs his father that he knows the location of the clock. Rolfe and his brother steal the dragon boat that their father had built for King Harald Bluetooth. They also kidnap the king's daughter so that she will not take revenge on their father. Harald Bluetooth vows to scour all the seas until he finds his daughter. Fate decrees that the brothers and their crew are stranded on the shores of the land of Aly Mansuh, who takes them all captive. To avoid execution, Rolfe promises to find the clock for Aly Mansuh.
