Blue Lagoon: The Awakening plot
The industrious Emma Robinson and lecher Dean McMullen are two teenagers who get to know each other, lead normal lives and go to school together. Then their class goes on a humanitarian trip to Trinidad. One night they secretly go to a party on a boat, but when the police intercept the boat, Emma falls overboard. Dean jumps after her to save her. They wash up on a deserted island. Gradually they learn to survive in their new environment. Emma and Dean fall in love while their parents organize a search for them.

Ever seen the original, but this adds nothing at all. It's a bit like Expedition Robinson with a touch of sex, but no pregnancy or anything, the main characters are also too worldly to really grow into a nature person free from all culture which is a bit of a theme in the original. The fact that the acting is very weak doesn't help either. In short, a weak copy of a film that itself wasn't particularly brilliant. 0.5*.

Romantic film, which unfortunately could have had more in it. The location of the film was beautiful. The love story was also beautiful. A bit of a beauty and the beast feeling: bad boy falls for good girl...... But it all went way too easy with survival, so that is really not credible anymore. I should have left out the panther, because that gave me some Jungle Book vibes..... But still some points for the beautiful locations with very romantic scenes!
