Astérix aux Jeux Olympiques plot
Alafolix is madly in love with the Greek princess Irina, but he is by no means the only one vying for her hand. Irina's father therefore decides that only the winner of the Olympics can ask his daughter for her hand. Asterix and Obelix come to their friend's aid but face formidable opposition from Brutus, Caesar's son, who will take every step to ensure his victory - and his imminent marriage.

Mediocre.
Less fun than hoped. Slightly too noisy without linking as many nicer scenes as the previous parts.
With Benoit Poelvoorde there is someone who I think is either very good or very bad. Rather the latter here.

Expensive third live-action version of the Asterix and Obelix stories, but the budget has mostly been spent on lavish sets, exaggerated special effects and a series of disjointed ideas that rarely add anything to the already weak story. Asterix and Obelix help a friend win the Olympics so he can marry Princess Irina. A lot of nonsense is the result. The impressive cast does what it can, but the scenario completely lets them down.

Apart from a handful of nice finds, a little successful comedy. I found the shimmer of Delon and Poelvoorde shocking.
At Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre (2002) I noticed “Tastes for more”. So no. From now on I will stick to the printed editions of the adventures of the illustrious Gallic duo.
