Werewolves plot
It's been a year since a supermoon turned humans into werewolves. The event led to nearly a billion deaths and now the supermoon is about to return. Scientist Wesley Marshall is trying to find a cure to stop the mutation. When his sister-in-law and niece face a wolf attack in their heavily fortified home, he must decide whether to save the world or his family.

Werewolves was childhood sentiment. The times as a little boy in the video store to the horror section. The Relic, Anaconda, Bats (Lou Diamond Phillips back again!), Deep Rising, but also 80's of course American Werewolf in London, The Howling, Crocodile.
Steven C Miller brought that back with a Purge setting. This is not a movie you watch for the story, acting but for the cheese, the pulp, the gore.
Well done for the budget they had to come up with excellent make-up effects
Great movie to watch with a group of friends. Beer pizza and enjoy. Man, I miss the 90s so much.

Indeed, it is a film by Steven C. Miller, someone with no talent. For this horrible film he gets 4.5 on imbd, which is about the average of all his films. He has made nothing but dragons of films, such as Escape plan 2, Marauders, First Kill, Extraction etc etc.
This one is really awful, and with Frank Grillo, not really a top actor either, apparently with injections, but acting is something else...

Mediocre action horror. The story is wafer thin, but that can be accepted in this genre. The execution is variable. The structure is reasonable and in the beginning there is still some tension building up. But once the werewolves are loose it becomes a series of boring action scenes with very wooden werewolves. It is not really exciting and is close to boring. Furthermore the film is quite predictable. The acting is doable. 2.5/3.0
