Nico learned martial arts in Japan, fought for the CIA in Vietnam and is now an agent with the Chicago vice squad. A junkie tells him about a drug deal, but on closer inspection it turns out to be a shipment of C4 explosives. In addition, the CIA appears to be involved in the deal. Nico is told not to interfere, but he continues his investigation. Putting the lives of himself and his family on the line, he discovers that the CIA is trying to hide their connections to drug dealers and will not shy away from murder to achieve this goal.

Wonderful film to get acquainted with the techniques of Steven Seagal. Furthermore, in terms of content, the start of a series of meaningless action films.

Not to look at.
A terrible action monstrosity built entirely around Steven Seagal. It just doesn't work at all, causing the entire film to collapse. What remains is a film that had to fill video library racks, so that people got the impression of more choice.
The plot is boring, the actors are completely below average and the soundtrack is really too corny, barely to hear. That doesn't even matter that much in these kinds of movies, as long as the action is up to standard. However, that is also a major setback. Seagal looks clumsy, the editing is angular and the choreography is far below par.
And then there's just nothing that appeals at all. The film doesn't even last that long, but seems to drag on for an eternity. Then they would do this kind of work in Hong Kong a lot better. Wasn't always top notch either, but the action was much more spectacular.

Doesn't represent much. Nico is the best at everything: he's the priest's best friend, the school kids on the street know him, he's the perfect family man, he's morally impeccable... and above all, he puts a lot of gel through his neck hair... but the latter is not so important.
The uninteresting and poorly told plot doesn't help the film either. For an action movie, I even thought it was quite calm, as if they wanted to give the film some level by inserting a lot of dialogue. No, definitely not an amusing Seagal movie. I do remember Under Siege and Marked to Death as much better.
